And the first part of my two or three part story about Jun and Daia.

Marked for mature audiences because Daia roughly appears to be about eight-years-old in this one and has done a lot of things that children really shouldn't have to do.

Jun is a Metal Dragon, recently exiled from the hold of the Northern Earth Clan and disowned by his family.  After a fight with one of his brothers, he stumbles into a forest, badly injured and not entirely sure he's going to make it through the night.  He's rescued by what he thinks is a little girl and she leads him back to the safety of a tiny one-room shack with a warm fire.

Jun soon finds out that the little girl he rescued is a little boy named Daisuke and that the child is a Forest Dragon.

Daisuke nurses Jun back to health and Jun volunteers to help Daia (as the boy prefers to be called) search for his protect who has been gone for almost two months.
